My Mummy STRONGEST!

“Ma, aaje aapde thoda vehla jaishu “(Mom we will go a little early today) Class 5-7 I must have said this statement every morning to my Mother who would drop me off to School on her way to work. We were perpetually late and it would bring tears to my eyes and hers too. Yesterday, I went to drop her off to work, her last working day, she stood near my bed and said, “rinku, aaje aapde thoda vehla jaishu” Life had come a full circle.

It has been a very emotional month.  My mom retires this month and turns 60, and the feeling, form a lump in my throat because, I know how big a void she is going to feel in her life. Most of her adult life she has been working and now suddenly the loneliness of being home is like an insecurity. We try and calm her nerves but all of us know it will take its own time for the feeling to sink in and for her to get used to this new found freedom.

Her life has revolved around our food, education and to give us a happy healthy childhood. She would come home and invariably the two of us would go out take a round on the kinetic, watch the fountain, buy groceries and vegetable, have pani puri and discuss our day. As I grew up the rides became less and the talk even lesser. And then I went away to college and when I returned, I was different or so she feels. I am trying to make amends, now that I live at home. I take her out now, Temples, groceries, here and there, we drive in comfortable silence and sing songs. We will do more of it now, chatter non stop and be there for each other!

I hope that, now, she relaxes, does all the things she has not been able to do, take walks and vacations, play with the dogs. Her kids have grown up and they have turned out well and although we do need you to be around you, your time to yourself is most IMPORTANT. And remember Ma, have aapde kyan bi vehla nathi javanu.

Shiny Blog

I did a little revamping on my blog and here we are. Old wine in a new bottle. I did it as I was getting a little bugged with the old one and had some time at hand. Also now I have realised that I do have the capacity to write atleast one post a week so it does deserve some amount of hardwork from my end.

I was active on indiblogger, but since I did some applictaion of my mind, my account has been deleted and no I cannot access that. I will be back there as soon as I get a solution. In the meanwhile, if any of you come across my post and think can help, please leave a comment.

The blog contents do not change, I just felt that it needed a different feel. I am a big JK Rowling Fan and I am glad Harry Potter happened, it has taught me more than any book ever has. That apart, the Title of the post is lifted from her book the reason being, each of us these days needs to be reminded that we need to be a little more cheerful in life. It will make the world a better place to live.

The way we encorage people to go green, save fuel, save water etc. We need to tell them get more free hugs, put a smile on your face, teach your child to laugh etc. Let us scream a little less and smile a little more. Off lately yes I have met a lot of people who need a regular dose of care. To be reminded to cool it, to cheer up that the World is not resting on your sad smile.

This one is to all those individuals on whom I scream at and those who scream at me and releive our stress. Lets smile at the stress and de-stress :)

All things Big and Small

"I talk to him when I'm lonesome like ;and I'm sure he understands. When he looks at me so attentively, and gently licks my hands; then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes, but I never say naught thereat. For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes, but never a friend like that" ~W. Dayton Wedgefarth

Dogs. Singularly the most loveable things in the world. I grew up picking up pups and being growled, snarled and bitten. But never have I felt a grudge against them or had hard feelings. They have always been a part of my world. Stray road pups are the most adorable people, they will lick u silly and have these deep mushy eyes. We have a large variety strays around the home and they always have been there for generations. Every new pup is celebrated and every death mourned. They are like family and their feelings are of top priority.

If there is a Dog in vicinity, there is a magnetic force that will pull us and I have to cuddle it, to my dad’s irritation. I have seen so many people being scared of dogs, they have their stories behind it and that seems perfectly alright. But those breed surprise me who scare dogs for their fun. Kids who tie crackers on their tails, adults who run behind them on bikes and when they bite to get back, it is beaten till it dies. It is an issue that there is so much dog menace, but it is no issue that we are harassing a part of nature. They came here before we did, we have encroached their living spaces, so why are we behaving as if we own the streets and will kick a stray if he loitering around. In which case the stray will bite u as we are the ones loitering in his house.

We need patience, inner patience, a condition where we do not buly those who cannot protect themselves. Everyone does not need to be educated for everything, there has to be self awareness. We teach our children to respect elders, why do not we teach them to respect animals and environment? The Government will take steps to curb animal nuisance but elimination is never a solution but understanding is.

I love dogs but I do not expect that everyone love them, but yes, I do expect as human beings that each of us respect the Dogs and other animals, they do not have anywhere else to live but the streets or to eat what we throw away. In the name of humanity and love and in peace, let us please know that we are all equals in the eyes of the maker.

The Happy thoughts Post

And now that I have been advised bed rest and compulsory vacation, I am going to bug everyone with at least a post a day.

Today I realised, that sometimes Love is enough, to sustain boundaries, differences and even time. It is one of the most fulfilling feelings I have ever experienced. There are always somethings that you repeatedly do wrong and each time u learn to do it a new way and sometimes the most correct thing also does not seem to just be that perfect. Life writes a diary, where it has specified when, what should happen. So when I think about something, Bad or Good, I can actually say, WOW! good this happened at the correct time, or I would be paying a much larger price for it. It designed for me breaks: So I could think with a clear mind, Work: So I could apply that clear mind to it, Ability: So I know how much I am capable of doing and so on. If there is someone who writes all this, he sure does a pretty good job of it.

This is something I have experienced in the last couple of days and I am so thankful, that Life happened to each of us. It is Short, we should take the risks, smell the roses, fight the bully and enrich ourselves with the experiences we get along the way.

I should hope to share more such thoughts, soon enough...

Ciao

Keep Smiling :)

Letting Go

“The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that that situation is over, you cannot move forward.”

Sometimes it just snaps. And everything that looked perfect till that moment,  starts looking a little misty, at times dark and foggy. All of us have or will face such crisis situation every now and then. It is the strength at this moment which is commendable.
Letting go is one of the most difficult things ever. Kicking yourself out of your comfort zone and figuring things out by yourself is hard and heart breaking. Especially for those who have always had someone by their side to look up to or hold. You have by then forgotten that when you reached that someone you found the way yourself. But its just way beyond reasoning to explain it to yourself.
At that very moment I hope someone somewhere finds me and picks me up and puts everything just back in place. All the problems, suddenly are the craving, all that I wanted to escape is exactly what I want now. If I could get one more chance I would start all over again, and so I know what to say, to whom, when and where. Of all the words, it freaking feels BAD, like someone punched you in the stomach and now u cannot even thow-up
So when you read this and feel you are down in the dumps and wish there was someone who could actually do something about the situation,  pick yourself up, put a smile on your face and say, great! there is one more like me.
